GLASTONBURY 2023

Elton’s final Farewell Yellow Brick Road show in the UK, headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival was the ultimate finalé. To build hype in the run up, we planned a numnber of collaborations to engage Elton’s followers, the UK fan base attending the festival and those watching from home.

These included a stop-motion recreation of the Glastonbury set at Legoland Windsor, an Elton-inspired Hunter Wellington boot plus promotions and interviews with Clara Amfo for BBC Radio 1.

On the night

    24hr countdowns with BBC Official Channels, BTS photos and crowd shots, plus posts from celebrity friends in attendance made sure all eyes were on Elton’s channels.

    Elton took to his social media as soon as he’d left the stage to thank Glastonbury and all those in the crowd for the best performance of his life.

    Elton’s opening performance was uploaded during his set, driving people to his iPlayer performance.

After Elton’s performance, Elton-related topics including supporting act names and song titles were 20 of the top 28 trending topics on UK Twitter.

Web visits hit 180k (11% more than his Dodger Stadium shows) and 177k were new users

Elton was posted about 321k times with 4.14m engagements and 3.34bn impressions

Elton’s social channels gained 130.4k followers in June with posts creating 22m impressions and 1m engagements
