Barbican x Sky Arts
A two day festival exploring what it means to be British today
Free and open to all, Barbican OpenFest: Art 50 was a showcase of works from Sky Arts’ Art 50 which invited artists of all kinds, from all walks of life, from all artistic genres, to create a piece of work which says something important about national identity in 2019.
I was the marketing lead for the Barbican and, working with the Sky Arts marketing teams, managed the branding, promotion, ticketing, onsite signage and marketing, and audience development. The festival saw 9,000 people attend over 40 installations, screenings and performances the two days from all parts of the UK.
Highlights of the performances, shows and activities throughout the day included brand new work from hip-hop dance group Boy Blue and Ivor Novello award winner, Nitin Sawhney with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
